rice VARIETIES WE EXPORT

v1

1121 BASMATI RICE -WHITE

Pusa Basmati 1121 inherits the prized Basmati rice qualities from traditional varieties like Basmati 370 and Type 3, achieved through hybridization. Its commercial cultivation commenced in 2003. This variety is distinguished by its extra-long slender milled grains, delightful aroma, significant volume expansion upon cooking, delightful taste, pleasing mouthfeel, and digestive ease.

v2

TRADITIONAL BASMATI RICE

Basmati rice comes in various types, including traditional varieties like Basmati 370, Basmati 385, and Basmati Ranbirsinghpura. These traditional basmati rice types are offered in both parboiled and raw forms. They are widely used in a variety of cuisines, including Continental, Indian, Mughlai, and Chinese cuisine, owing to their unique aroma, flavor, and texture.

v3

GOLDEN SELLA BASMATI RICE

Parboiling rice preserves a higher amount of vitamins and minerals compared to untreated grains. This process ensures that the rice grains remain firm even after cooking. Moreover, parboiled rice is free from cholesterol and gluten, making it suitable for various dietary needs. Additionally, it is low in sodium and saturated fat, contributing to a healthier diet. Rice, being rich in complex carbohydrates, serves as a valuable source of energy for the body.

v4

SUGANDHA BASMATI RICE

Sugandha Basmati Rice, a popular choice for its affordability, is predominantly grown in regions like Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, among others, in India. Known for its delightful aroma, this variety of rice is characterized by its non-sticky texture. While slightly shorter than 1509 and 1121 Basmati rice varieties, Sugandha Basmati expands significantly in length when cooked properly, often doubling in size.

v5

SHARBATI BASMATI RICE

Sharbati Basmati Rice, a hybrid variety derived from Traditional Basmati Rice, lacks a distinct aroma but shares similar cooking characteristics with Basmati Rice. With grains measuring approximately 14-15mm in length, Sharbati Basmati Rice typically features rice grains around 7.1-7.2mm in size.

v6

PARBOILED RICE

Parboiled rice undergoes a unique processing method involving soaking, steaming, and drying while still in the husk, resulting in grains that are easier to cook and handle. This process not only enhances the rice’s nutritional value but also alters its texture, making it firmer and less sticky when cooked. Additionally, parboiling renders the rice more resistant to pests like weevils, extending its shelf life.

v7

BROKEN RICE

Broken rice, despite its name, maintains the same nutritional value as whole grains and is a nutritious option. It consists of fragmented rice grains, which can occur during various stages such as harvesting, drying, transportation, or milling. Mechanical separators are employed to distinguish broken grains from whole ones and categorize them based on size.

v8

SWARNA RICE

Swarna rice is indeed a popular and healthy choice, known for its low glycemic index, which can help reduce the risk of diabetes. This variety is extensively cultivated in India, favored for its nutritional benefits and versatility in cooking.

v9

SONA MASOORI RICE

Sona Masuri rice, a medium-grain variety, is predominantly cultivated in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka, India. Its name translates to “Golden Ivy,” reflecting its lightweight and aromatic nature.
